Appearance
Chloe is about average height, 5'5" or 5'6", with natural blonde hair that (despite the images I have for her) falls past her shoulders and is usually pulled back in a tight braid. She's a bit too skinny to be considered properly healthy, but that's only because it's often hard to find food these days. She can usually be found wearing clothes a bit too big for her, salvaged from various Army surplus stores, complete with a pack that generally has more medical supplies in it than food or personal items. She has an old (and rather prominent) scar across one cheek, from behind the hairline above her right ear and almost reaching her jaw. She also has various faint scars on her hands, mostly from trying to use scalpels in less than desirable situations.
Personality
Chloe is one of those people who is the reason other people survive in a post-apocalyptic setting. She's bitter about losing her family and her life, certainly, and she's more than a bit outwardly pessimistic, but there aren't many doctors left, and most of them are settled in one place or with one group of people. She feels that since she has a bit of medical knowledge (and has gained more since she started), that it's her duty to travel and find people who need help and do what she can for them.
And for all that she calls herself a pessimist, and will often spout pessimistic sentiments, she will fight for a single life with everything in her, even if it's obviously a lost cause, and she often tells people not to lose hope, to have hope, in whatever they can. Secret optimist? Possibly. She likes to think of herself as a realist, but in reality, she's a hoper, a dreamer, and deep down she believes that one day, it will all work out again, somehow.
